trismugistus.com
and digital-bondage.net
are my web sites.
trismugistus.com
is where I upload my anime, manga and tv&film reviews,
and also where I occasionally post short stories and longer
works I've written.
digital-bondage.net
is my wallpaper site and provides anime, manga and other
desktop wallpapers in a variety of resolutions. I also
have a few tutorials and some resources, such as psds
for you to download.
I also run a site called scan-city.org,
which provides scans from the latest japanese anime magazines
for you to download and use in your wallpapers.
You can also read my blog here
or check out my anime list here. |

I'll save you the bother of readign this week's
review:
It's disappointing.
Now is that the review, or the anime? |

review
"The Eiken of the title is an after-school
club type thing that doesn't really have any actual
purpose. Unlike, say, a manga club or a tennis
club, Eiken is just a club with no activity. Well,
except for fan service.

Most of Eiken's members have enormous boobs.
And I don't just mean regular enormous, this is
a vast cornucopia of boob flesh. There's enough
boob-poundage between Eiken's members to make
at least four whole people.
And the members that aren't well endowed
have other ample charms--shapely curves, delicious
butts, moe cuteness, etc, etc. The same principles
also apply to all the other random women in the
series."

yori aoshi review
"You know, I don't think I've been quite
this disappointed in an anime series in quite
a while.
I mean, the series isn't really bad, as such,
it's just it feels like it could have been so
much more.

The first three or four episodes of Ai Yori
Aoshi basically only feature our two main characters--Kaoru
and Aoi--and we're given the fundamental premise.
Aoi and Kaoru were arranged to be married at a
very young age. Luckily, Aoi also fell head-over-heels
for Kaoru, and presumably something similar is
roughly true for Kaoru, although this is part
of what the series goes on to explore."

bravo manga review
"Heck, the anime even has the same cast
of characters, with everyone who's in the manga
also appearing in the anime and via similar plotlines
too.

So why is the anime better? Well, it all
feels less arbitrary and random in the anime.
It feels like there's a central plot in the anime,
that we're actually going somewhere and that there's
an ultimate goal to the show.
In the manga it just feels like the author
is making it up as he goes along. It's like he
introduces the new characters just because he
wants to have yet another sexy chick to draw,
or for Yukinari to stumble across while they're
half naked."

| X review
"For those not in the know (is there
anybody?) CLAMP are an all-female manga production
team who, it could be argued, are some of the
most successful out there. Certainly they have
a massive and dedicated following of rabid fans
both in Japan and around the world and there stuff
always sells in buck loads.

CLAMP started life as a doujinshi group,
producing fan manga. It's not a culture that really
exists in the same way here, especially in the
UK, so it may bare some explanation. Basically,
doujinshi is almost invariably pornographic. Generally
it involves characters from actual commercial
anime and manga either in situations or displaying
emotions/desires/actions that are pretty much
uncharacteristic.
This is a convoluted way of saying it's all
about straight male characters "gettin' it
on" together and female characters getting
molested."

cock and bull story - review
"I think this review is actually going
to be a fairly short one.

The reason is that it's often much more difficult
to explain why you do like something than why
you don't. Criticising and pointing out bad stuff
is easy. It's so easy in fact that you may have
noticed reviews where I do actually like what
I'm reviewing I actually end up pointing out the
few bad bits I don't like.
But there really isn't much not to like about
A Cock and Bull Story."
